An 18th century walnut eight-day longcase clock, by Thomas Chapman of Bath, c.1750, the moulded cornice over a domed dial aperture, the 12 inch brass break-arch dial with subsidiary seconds dial and calendar aperture, Roman numerals to the silvered chapter ring, the five pillar rack and bell striking movement with anchor escapement regulated by seconds pendulum, the trunk with rectangular quarter-veneered door on a plinth base, 215.5cm high
